The products are assigned Catalog Nos. based on product type. lamp type, No of
lamps and wattage of the lamp used. Given below is an example to explain the
process of codification.

First two numerals : Product
code as per design methodology
Third numeral : No. of lamps in the luminaire
Last two numerals : Wattage of lamps used in the luminaire.
Exceptions :
In case of HID luminaires (Mercury / Sodium / Metal Halide) the last three numerals
represent the lamp wattage. Number of lamps is not indicated.
In case of Aviation obstruction
luminaire the numerals do not represent the wattage of the lamp.
